Workshop-June 15, 2010
The Board of Trustees of the Village of Tularosa met in a Workshop setting on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 6:00 P. M. in the Court/Conference Room of the Public Safety Facility located at 609 St. Francis Drive, Tularosa, New Mexico.
Present: Mayor Ray S. Cordova
Trustee Fred Tyler
Trustee Joseph Lueras
Trustee Gloria Sainz
Absent: Trustee Patrick Garcia
Also in attendance was Monica Voorbach, Payroll/AP Clerk; Dana Lopez, Office Assistant and Dianna Brusuelas-Guilez, Village Clerk.
Mayor Ray S. Cordova called the Workshop to order asking that all rise and join him in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Items presented at the Workshop were items that will be presented at the Regular Meeting of June 16, 2010 which include:

Safety Coordinator-Dana Lopez-Approval of the Village of Tularosa Emergency Action Plan and the Safety Health Program
Finance Officer-Valarie Delgado-Adoption of Resolution 2009-10-18 Increase budgets for OAP, Library, Capital Projects and General Fund
LANCON-802 Elouise Circle-Approve Building Site Permit for new construction
Monica Voorbach-Award contract for Random Drug Screening
Mayor Ray S. Cordova-Approve Temporary Employment Agreement with Susan Flores, from July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010 as per Chapter II, Section 20.01, paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Personnel Policy with no more than 20 hours a week at $10.00 per hour
Mayor Ray S. Cordova-Approve Temporary Employment Agreement with Joshua Puckett, from July 1, 2010 through September 30, 2010 as per Chapter II, Section 20.01, paragraph E of the Village of Tularosa Personnel Policy with no more than 20 hours a week at $7.50 per hour
Chief Ken Selman-Request to promote Office Chuck Wood to the position of Patrol Sergeant and increase pay to $15.50 per hour effective with the July 1, 2010 budget
Chief Ken Selman-Request confirmation of Officer Jessica Turner, to Regular Full-Time employee, completed 6 months probation, date of hire August 24, 2009. Requesting pay from Non-certified pay of $10.00 $12.50 Certified Officer, as per section 80.01 of the Village of Tularosa Policy pay scale. Graduated from Southern New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy on June 8, 2010
Trustee Fred Tyler-Requesting Village Co-Sponsor a Candle Light Ceremony on July 16, 2010 and Educational & Film Documentary opportunities on July 17, 2010 in support of TBDC and Tularosa citizens

Trustee Fred Tyler has questions on several of the bills on the bills list. Trustee Tyler aslo would like to use the Community Center or the Baseball Field on July 16th and 17th for a candle light ceremony in support of TBDC and Tularosa Citizens.
The pot holes and street repairs were addressed. It was stated that Rick was getting bids.
A question was asked on the leveling of the land on Riata and Radio. It was explained that the property will be used for the effluent water.
It was asked if the fence belonging to the Bednorz' was repaired, response was that the contractor would fix it.
There being not further business to come before the Mayor and the Board, Trustee Gloria Sainz moved to adjourn and was seconded Trustee Fred Tyler. The meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.
